SYRIA, Coele-Syria. Damascus. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Time of Domitian, AD 81-96. Æ 15mm (3.87 g, 12h). Dated SE 397 (AD 84/85). Head of Dionysos right, wearing ivy wreath / ΔAMA, crossed thyrsi; ZΘT (date) to right. RPC II -; SNG München -; SNG Copenhagen -; BMC -. VF, black patina, strike a bit soft. Possibly unpublished.

Roman Provincial Coins does not record any coins from Damascus under the Flavians, although a lost coin of Domitian as Caesar is noted.
